War, Conflict, Destruction, though many wish that it was not true, these are the most basic defining terms of human nature.

Since the first human learned how to defend himself there has been conflict in the human race, whether it was a squabble between two friends, or a cataclysmic war which involved all nations of the world, humans seem to seek conflict with each other more than any other race on earth.

The 20th century of the AD Calendar was known as the century of conflict, many wars, including the two world wars, took place during that period.  Even in the 21st century things did not change.

When man reached for the stars and began to live amongst them, it was the hope that this would unite humanity in peace. This was not the case however and when jealousy between the genetically enhanced Coordinators and unmodified Naturals reached its breaking point, three wars rocked the earth sphere in Cosmic Eras 71, 73, and 77. The result was the destruction of all but the PLANT type colonies, previously thought impossible damage to the Earth’s surface, and the replacement of the Earth Alliance with Orb’s Earth Military Defence Forces (EMDF).

Since the last war the entire Earth Sphere began to unite in peace, forging to repair the damage caused by war and to enhance humanity to new heights.  With genetic engineering legalized, a new breed of humans, and previously unthought-of cooperation and trust between the Earth and Space Colonies, hope for an everlasting era of peace for humanity seemed in no short supply for the first time in eons.

Over a century has passed since the peace began, but human nature is not so easily changed.

War has once again cast its dark shadow over the Earth Sphere in Cosmic Era 213.
